DATASENSING is born: Industrial vision, sensors and safety devices for Industry 4.0.

Industrial automation is based on detecting the presence, position or quality of an object in any production and logistics sector. To innovate in this area and facilitate the transition to Industry 4.0, the DATASENSING project has been launched, which will bring together the Sensor & Safety and Machine Vision Business Units of Datalogic, the world leader in automatic data acquisition, and M.D. Micro Detectors, a company dedicated to the design, production and commercialisation of industrial sensors.

DATASENSING intends to strengthen its presence in industrial automation worldwide through a complete offer of sensors of various technologies, optoelectronic devices for machine and system safety, automatic guidance and artificial vision for Smart Manufacturing.

The CEO, Cosimo Capuzzello, stated that; “DATASENSING is starting from solid foundations, and I am sure that it will achieve important goals as early as 2021, with an expected turnover of 76 million euros. Thanks to the agreement with Datalogic, we will create an industrial player with 100 years of experience, merging two realities that have made the history of sensors in our country since the early 1970s: M.D. Micro Detectors with its pioneering product and production process technology, and Datalogic with a portfolio of innovative products and a consolidated global presence.”
