Jungheirich Portugal launches electric forklift hire service

Jungheinrich Portugal, a provider of intralogistics solutions, has launched the Power Buy The Hour rental service on the national market, a highly flexible and innovative approach to the rental of electric forklifts. With high availability, this solution allows the customer to rent a forklift and pay only for the hours of use. In practice, the customer only has to select the forklift and the hour package that suits their business. If their requirements change, they can easily increase or decrease the price range during the contract. Vehicle information is available 24 hours a day on the “Power Buy the Hour” app, designed exclusively for customers of this service. “Using telematics data, the app allows you to monitor your forklifts in real time, by month, day or hour, so you get greater visibility”. In addition, it allows “to collect and transmit, automatically and remotely, the necessary information, as well as to precisely control the hours of use of the forklift”, adds the company. Designed with the retail, logistics, agri-food, industry and other sectors in mind, the new service includes three customised tariffs. “In times of uncertainty, having a highly flexible solution with controlled costs in logistics operations is very important. The pandemic left a certain tendency for consumption through large stores, which diverted the activity of wholesalers to retail”, comments Rui Dionísio, director of Used and Rental at Jungheinrich Portugal, quoted in a press release. “The huge increase in e-commerce has also reinforced the activity of logistics and distribution, and this increase has directly influenced the equipment rental activity”, he adds.
