Lufthansa cargo innovates transport networks for cargo pallets
Already from January 2023, Lufthansa Cargo will use new, lighter transport nets to protect cargo pallets. By using a special fibre, the new nets save more than 50% in weight compared to conventional nets.
Lufthansa Cargo is to use new, lighter transport nets to protect cargo pallets. Made from a special fibre, the new nets save more than 50% in weight compared to conventional nets, which will allow the company to save weight on each flight and thus significantly reduce its CO₂ emissions.
Lufthansa Cargo is the first airline to use the lightweight nets for an entire pallet type. The air cargo company thus takes another consistent step towards greater sustainability of its operations.
